Breakfast at the hotel. We will start our excursion from Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, one of the world's oldest cities. According to popular opinion, Yerevan was founded by the name of Erebuni by King Argishti I of the Kingdom of Van in the 8th century B.C. In Yerevan you will visit a number of historical-cultural sites, such as the Matenadaran, where the written history of the Armenian and foreign nations is written in Arabic, Persian, Ottoman, Assyrian, Old Georgian, Greek, Latin, Russian (about 18,000 manuscripts), Yerevan Brandy Factory, where you can get acquainted with the history of Armenian brandy and enjoy its immortal taste. Take a stroll through the streets of Yerevan to discover its architecture, whose main attractions are pink tuff and sculptures with national ornaments. Therefore, Yerevan is often called the Pink City. Visit to the Garni Temple, which is the only standing legacy of the Hellenistic era that has reached us. The castle was built probably in 2nd century BC..It was destroyed in the 1st century BC by Roman troops. In the 70s of the 1st century Garni was restored by King Trdat the 1st, whose Greek inscription calls it "the impregnable fortress". The Garni Temple was dedicated to Mihr, the god of war and the sun. In Garni village you will have the unique opportunity to attend lavash baking ceremony. It is no secret that lavash has a special meaning for Armenians and its baking process is a great and beautiful ritual. Not far from the Garni Temple is Geghard Monastery. It already belongs to the period of Christian Armenia. It was founded in the 5th century; the main church was built in 1215. It was firstly called Ayrivank because of the cave structures, and since the 13th century Geghard was held in honor of the holy spear in the monastery (by which Jesus was crucified).
Breakfast at the hotel. The second day excursion starts from Khor Virap monastery complex, located in Ararat region. The Virap was a deep hole full of snakes, poisonous insects, where the prisoner was thrown. Gregory the Illuminator was kept there for the preaching of Christianity. After the adoption of Christianity, it became a pilgrimage site, and in the 17th century a chapel was built. Then you will visit Areni village. It is best known for its wine production. In January 2011 archaeologists announced the discovery of the earliest known winery, the Areni-1 winery, seven months after the world's oldest leather shoe, the Areni-1 shoe, was discovered in the same cave. The winery, which is over six-thousand years old, contains a wine press, fermentation vats, jars, and cups. Archaeologists also found grape seeds and vines of the species Vitis vinifera. Areni Wine Factory is located in Areni, which was founded in 1994 in Areni village of Vayots Dzor region on the initiative of the Simonyan family. The factory has a wide assortment of Armenian wines. Here you will find the history of millennia of wine making. In the Vayots Dzor you will visit one of the unique churches of Armenia - Noravank. The monastery complex was built in 13th -14th centuries. In the second half of 13th century the architect Siranes acted and, in the first half of 14th century, prominent miniaturist, sculptor and architect Momik. The rich surrounding nature makes the look of the church even more breathtaking. “The Wings of Tatev” ropeway is an air route to Syunik's natural and historical riches. It is the shortest road leading to the Tatev Monastery and the longest reversible ropeway in the world (5752m) recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. At the other end of the ropeway you will have a beautiful view. In the middle of the high mountains and deep gorge lies one of the most famous Armenian monastic complex - Tatev. Tatev Monastery is a historical monument of the 9th century, an exceptional example of Armenian architecture, one of the oldest spiritual centers, as well as the largest university in medieval Armenia. Return to Yerevan.
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Lake Sevan, one of the most picturesque places in Armenia. Sevan is considered to be the second largest freshwater lake in the world. In the north-western part of Lake Sevan is the Sevan peninsula, where the unique Sevanavank monastic complex (built in the 9th -10th centuries) rises. In 874, two churches were built here by Ashot Bagratuni's daughter Mariam, the Holy Apostle (the Great) and St. Hovnann Karapet. The next stop will be in Dilijan. It is often referred to as "Little Switzerland" in Armenia. The rich nature and the fresh air create the perfect environment for a relaxing stay. In Dilijan you will visit Haghartsin and Goshavank, Monasteries, which were built in 10th -13th centuries. This two monasteries, may become part of a natural site based on the state protected area of Dilijan. Return to Yerevan.

Being one of the oldest settlements in Armenia with its three thousand years of history, Gyumri is a great place to visit and admire. Gyumri is a city rich in a variety of architectural styles and tricks. It is one of the rare Armenian cities that still retains the 19th century architectural spirit. Buildings made of black and red tufa, sculpted facades, old wooden doors and shaped gutters will make your journey unforgettable. In Gyumri you will visit the Gallery of Aslamazian sisters. Here you will get acquainted with the art and life of well-known Armenian artists of the Soviet era, as well as the art styles used by the sisters. You will attend a master class in pottery. Return to Yerevan.
